This experiential workshop takes place almost entirely at the drawing

muscles and silencing those pesky inner censors. The second day, we’ll
build into the basic practices of graphic facilitation and recording.
We will pay attention to preparation, the actual visual work, and
follow up including digital capture of paper based images. Our third
day will be devoted to participatory graphic approaches, practicing
and giving peer feedback. You can expect to go away with icons, ideas
and approaches which you can use immediately, as well as ideas about
how to hone your practice.

The Power of Networks - RSA Animate by Cognative Media

Once again, Cognitive Media demonstrates why they are the pioneers of a whole new way of teaching complex concepts.

The amount of research and sheer visual ingenuity of their work redefines what is possible with the human hand.

I watch their videos at least twice -- once with audio, once with only the visuals -- to appreciate exactly how much planning, interpretation and technical production goes into every video.

For this video, CM also posted a video of the "Big Erase" showing that these creations really are a giant, complex, beautifully designed mural-sized drawing.

99% Conference Sketchnotes by Wendy MacNaughton

Wonderful cross-pollination of sketchnotes and journal pages, this event from the 99% Conference capture follows the tradition of clever illustrators such as Barry Blitt and Shel Silverstein...

ILLUSTRATION: Wendy MacNaughton

Some people like words, some people like pictures. Illustrator Wendy MacNaughton is pretty darn great at both. Which is why we brought her in to document this year's 99% Conference. What follows is an illustrated inventory of her observations**, from the big-picture insights our speakers shared to the chatter & ideas that buzzed around the conference center for two days.

BTW, the 99% refers not to the famed protesters, but the percentage of perspiration required to bring the 1% inspiration to life.

**This is an abridged version. For the complete story with massive illustrations, view Wendy's recap on Behance.
